Down The River Forge began as a personal quest to create something completely by hand. Born and raised in New Orleans, Stephen grew up immersed in the outdoors hunting and fishing with friends, where sharp and effective tools are a necessary means for survival. While serving in the US Army, his appreciation for functional tools grew exponentially. What began as a creative outlet has evolved into a pursuit to make beautiful and functional knives for all.
